The Chamber

The Danish-Swiss Chamber of Commerce was founded in March 2009 by the board members and succeeds the “Danish Handelsklub” which closed with the move of the Danish Consulate to Berne.

The Chamber is an organization whose goal it is to promote and nurture trade and business relations between both countries with the inclusion of the Principality of Liechtenstein. An important aspect of its activities is to set up and support a network of persons interested in cross-border relations – be it individuals, companies or institutions. The Danish-Swiss Chamber of Commerce fosters the business interests of its members and sponsors cultural and societal events which promote the achievement of these goals.

Trade between peoples mainly revolves around the people themselves and the products and services they provide. This results in common interests which can be pursued far more easily in a well functioning community. The Danish-Swiss Chamber of Commerce brings together the right partners and in so doing, paves the way for successful solutions. Particularly small and medium-sized enterprises will profit from the members’ skills and experience, for theses strengths can be implemented quickly and profitably thanks to close cooperation with the Danish Embassy in Berne, with those responsible at OSEC (Business Network Switzerland) and with competent partners in Denmark.

The Chamber actively promotes networking amongst members and stages numerous events to this end. It organizes and sponsors lectures, company tours, special conferences and exhibitions. The success of the Chamber will depend on a strong member base, and we encourage you to submit your membership application to the secretariat (see the “Membership” section for further information on types of memberships).

The secretariat of the Danish-Swiss Chamber of Commerce is managed by Jonna Meier at the Danish Embassy in Berne and you are welcome to contact Jonna by mail (j.meier@dshk.ch) or phone (+41 43 818 73 39) for further information about the Chamber.
