SUMMARY:“Ready for the quantum computing revolution?” With EY, IBM & the Novo Nordisk Foundation
DESCRIPTION:Denmark has entered into a collaboration with NVIDIA and established a national centre for AI innovation that will house one of the world’s most powerful AI super computers (the Gefion supercomputer). The collaboration is led on the Danish side by the Novo Nordisk Foundation.  \nMorten Bache from the Novo Nordisk Foundation will talk about how quantum computing will accelerate research and innovation in fields from healthcare and life science to green transition supporting the development of innovative solutions to the world’s biggest problems. \nHeike Riel from IBM’s Research and Frontiers institute in Switzerland will talk about quantum computing and how it makes rapid strides with notable advancements across the entire stack – from hardware and software algorithms and applications. Increasing scale, quality and speed, the performance has achieved quantum utility and is further pushed towards quantum advantage and creating scalable, error-corrected quantum systems by 2029. \nAs always there will be great network opportunities at the following aperó for everyone attending.\nSpeakers:\n\nMorten Bache Scientific Director, Ph.D, Dr. Techn – Mads is a scientific expert in quantum technologies, technical sciences, AI and data science and team leader of data science and quantum technologies at the Novo Nordisk Foundation in Hellerup.\n \n\nHeike Riel is an IBM Fellow. She is based in Switzerland at the IBM Research Frontiers Institute, and she is a distinguished expert in nanotechnology and nanosciences and focuses her research on advancing the frontiers of information technology through physical sciences and mathematical sciences building cognitive Io solutions.\n \nAgenda:\n17:00:   Registration and networking \n17:30:   Welcome by EY Chairperson, Carina M. Korsgaard and opening remarks by DSHK Chairman Jeppe R. Stokholm followed by H.E. Mauro Reina, Ambassador of Switzerland to Denmark talking about Danish -Swiss cooperation on quantum computing  \n17:45:    Morten Bache:  The Gefion AI Supercomputer – how will it change research and innovation \n18:30:    Break \n18.45:    Heike Riel: How will quantum computing increase scale, quality and speed and create scalable, error-corrected quantum systems by 2029? \n19:30:    Flying dinner and networking \n20:30:   End of event \nThis event is sponsored by\n\n \n \n \n \n
